Unknown Tragedy

This is a bit of fan art for Joseph Vaughan at Mt Vesuvius. He's just a normal guy with a pretty normal life with a good imagination, but sadly, not enough attention! Anyway, he had several "challenges" on his site, and this one is of his char Vesuvius holding a recorder looking terrible at a loss even I do not understand...

Now all I have to do is hunt the guy down and tell him that 8 months late, I have it! Oh well, one down, 3 to go?
